Software Engineer I

Role Overview
As a Software Engineer I, you will join our engineering team to build, scale, and maintain high-quality software solutions. This is an entry-level role designed for a curious, collaborative developer who is ready to transition from academic or personal projects into a professional production environment. You will work under the mentorship of senior engineers to contribute to our core products and grow your technical foundation.

Key Responsibilities
Write & Maintain Code: Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code in line with company standards and best practices.
Collaborate: Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning as part of an Agile development team.
Test & Debug: Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality; identify and squash bugs in existing systems.
Peer Reviews: Engage in code reviews to both provide and receive constructive feedback, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for new features and system architectures to help the team stay aligned.
Learn & Adapt: Stay current with emerging technologies and proactively suggest ways to improve our tech stack.

Qualifications
Education: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience (e.g., intensive coding bootcamp + portfolio).
Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++).
CS Fundamentals: Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
Tools: Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, a "growth mindset," and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
Experience with modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Node.js).
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
